Before you draw conclusions
Not every Google change is bad. Some auto-applied changes help, and this check can't tell which without performance data. Fewer changes by people isn't a bad sign either: a well-built account needs fewer edits, and most of the work (analysis, reporting, landing pages) never appears in change history.
What this can't tell you
- It only sees the date range in your file. Work done outside Google Ads, such as reports, calls and landing pages, never appears in it.
- It groups people by email domain. If someone who runs your account signs in with your login, their changes show as yours. People using personal email addresses, and changes made through tools and scripts, show under Others.
- Change types come from the change text, so an unusual change can land in "Other".
- It cannot tell whether a change helped. That needs your performance data.

How do I download my Google Ads change history?
In Google Ads, open Change history, choose a date range of up to two years, then Download and CSV. Use the English interface.
How does it tell Google's changes apart from people's?
Every change lists who made it. Changes from auto-apply and AI Max carry a Google label and count as Google's. People are grouped by email domain and shown by that domain. Enter your email and only your changes show as You; enter your domain and everyone at it does. Tools and scripts show under Others.
How do I switch off auto-apply?
In Google Ads, open Recommendations, then Auto-apply. Untick the recommendation types you want to review yourself, and save.
Is my file stored?
No. The file is read in memory to build this page and then discarded. Only an anonymous count of checks is kept.
Keep the change history past Google's 30 days.
